Dr. Angel de Frutos

RESEARCHER AND FREELANCER

Research interest

I am an ecologist passionated by understanding the effects of land management on biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, and the resilience of the ecosystem. My research largely focuses on impacts of increasing land use intensification and global change on biodiversity  across multiple trophic groups (e.g. plants, insects, birds, micromammals). My interests include conservation biology to improve strategies for the conservation of threatened species.

I have experience on designing ecological sampling campaigns and conducting field work across a range of different habitats in Mediterranean and alpine ecosystems. I am an expert in ecological modelling and spatial statistics with large data sets using remote sensing products and GIS. I enjoy teaching and mentoring students as well as collaborating with other colleagues.

Download my CV here. My profile is in ORCID, Research Gate and Scopus. My publications are here.
